The Alaska Highway

Updated: Oct 31, 2022

We drove up to Dawson Creek to find the start of The Alaska Highway. These are pictures of my truck that I have wanted to take for a long time.

Dawson Creek itself is a pleasant little town with The Mile One Post, some interesting shops and cafes and unusual murals.

It's not often that you look at your SatNav and it's this far off the next turn.

Along the way Watson Lake provided an interesting diversion with The Sign Forest.

Liard Hot Springs was a highlight (see the YouTube, I didn't take the camera!)

The biggest highlight of this highway however are the fantastic camping spots.

Eventually you get to Alaska (believe it or not) where you can straddle two huge countries.
