We were lucky enough to be contacted by Darrin who lives in Maryland with the offer of a place to stay whilst I sort out the truck.

I had to put in quite a lot of security measures to enable the truck to safety cross the Atlantic. Whilst staying here I had chance to remove metal panels from the window, unblock between the cab and cabin and organise the storage inside and under the truck.

Darrin found us a place to fill with LPG (propane over here). Unfortunately this threw up a gas leak. I had to unpack the cupboards that I had just packed in order to find my PTFE tape to fix the issue.

it was fantastic to have a place to land with great help and advice whilst we found our feet.

I hope I can reciprocate if Darrin ever finds his way to Scotland.
